Warburton produces mouthpieces in variety of materials - this one is Delrin plastic, a homopolymer acetal (POM) used to replace metal in many applications. Typical properties include stiffness​, dimensional stability, impact resistance, and structural strength. Reviews mention these do not "sound like plastic" and work perfectly when screwed onto a metal backbore. They also do not get too hot or cold like metal mouthpieces.
